How to Become a Professional Baseball Player
It's the dream of so many kids when they're growing up, to play in the big leagues like their heroes Babe Ruth and Barry Bonds, in front of thousands of screaming fans, who wouldn't love that? But how do you really become a professional baseball player?
It helps if you have money. Baseball equipment isn't cheap, and you're going to need to do a lot of practicing with different equipment. There are so many different brands and styles of baseball gloves and bats, and you want to use the ones that work the best for you.
Your equipment has to work perfectly and feel good. If your glove is over-sized or your baseball bat is too heavy, you won't be playing to your full potential and that could cost you a professional baseball job. Hopefully you've been playing baseball for a while and you have a general feel for the equipment that works for you so this won't be as big of a problem for you.
You have to set your goals high and aim for them every day. Many people want to become professional baseball players, but only a small percentage will actually succeed. If you set a goal to get a job playing baseball, work at it every day and don't settle for anything less. You have to be the best of the best.
You have to have tough skin as well. If you do get the job, you have to perform well too. If you constantly strike out or throw bad pitches, your fans will boo you and your coach might replace you. It's one thing getting to the big leagues, it's quite another thing to do well and succeed in the major leagues. But with the right tools and the right state of mind, you can do it.
