The Minnesota Twins play out of Minneapolis, and they are named after the Twin Cities in Minnesota. The Minnesota Twins were founded in 1901 and were originally known as the Washington Senators. 4 years later they changed their name to the Washington Nationals. Since then, the Minnesota Twins are know as The Twins, The Senators, The Nationals and The Twinkies. The official colors of the Minnesota Twins are red, white and blue, just like the American flag. The Minnesota Twins have won the World Series 3 times, first in 1924, they a drought until 1987 when they won their second title, followed by their latest one in 1991.
