The Seattle Mariners are a fairly young team, joining Major League Baseball in 1977, based in Seattle Washington. The Seattle Mariners are one of the only teams to not have a World Series championship title, although they have won their playoff division three times. Oddly enough, the Seattle Mariners are owned by Nintendo of America, the same Nintendo that makes video games! In their opening game as a team they played against the California Angles, but lost their home opener seven to nothing. The Seattle Mariners have also not retired any numbers in their organization, despite producing 3 hall of fame players, Alvin David, Jay Buhner and Edgar Martinez.
