The Texas Rangers aren't the only major league baseball team in Texas, but the Texas Rangers play out of the Dallas area. The Texas Rangers got their name from the well-known law agency named The Rangers. The Texas Rangers were foudned in 1960 in Washington and were known as the Washington Senators. The Texas Rangers moved to Texas in 1972, and changed their names at the same time. The official colors of the Texas Rangers are red, white and blue, just like the American flag. Unfortunately, so far in their short history the Texas Rangers have not won any World Series titles, but they have made the playoffs 3 times, all in the 1990s.
